Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast and a captain of the US women's Olympic gymnastics 2012 Fierce Five team and in the year 2016. The Final Five. In the 2012 Olympics she took gold both on the team floor as well as the individual competitions. The bronze medal was awarded by her balance bar. It made her one of the very first American gymnast at the Olympics with the highest number of medals. In the 2016 Olympics she took home gold for the team event, which brought her as well as her teammate Gabby Douglas the distinction of having been one of the very first Americans to have two consecutive team golds. Additionally, she took home two silver medals in the floor exercise and the individual all-around. She took a three-year break between the two Olympics from gymnastics competition. In addition she was a part of two gold-winning American gymnastics squads. Aly began gymnastics lessons when she was just two years old and is a fan of floor exercise. Aly has a strong support for her favorite charity, the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who was diagnosed with cancer and passed away.
